WASHINGTON, DC—Congressman Tony Wied (WI-08) introduced bipartisan legislation to prohibit new fees on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic Balance Transfer (EBT) retail transactions. The Ensuring Fee-Free Benefits Transactions Act (EBT Act), co-led by Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11), protects small and independent retailers from being penalized for serving SNAP customers, encourages broader participation in the SNAP program, and keeps SNAP accessible in underserved and rural areas.
WASHINGTON – This week, the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure voted to advance Rep. Tony Wied’s bill, the FROST Act, with bipartisan support.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Tony Wied (R-Wis.) and Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (D-Calif.) yesterday introduced a bipartisan resolution designating the last Saturday of March as "Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day."
The resolution provides long-overdue recognition to thousands of Vietnam War veterans for their selfless service to the nation. The last Saturday of March, which this year falls on March 29, marks the day when the final U.S. combat troops completed their service and departed Vietnam.
