Rep. Wied Votes Yes on NDAA
WASHINGTON, DC — Rep. Tony Wied (WI-08) was proud to cast his vote in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal year 2025.
"With this vote, the House GOP has made it clear that we will do everything we can to restore our military’s focus to lethality and depoliticize the Department of Defense, while also rejecting the Senate's plan to recklessly spend more money that our government does not have," said Wied.
The final version of the FY25 NDAA authorizes much needed resources for the Department of Defense, border security, authorizes pay raises for our servicemembers, guts woke DEI programs, including a new, permanent ban on transgender medical treatment for children, and rejects the Senate's effort to increase spending by $28 billion.
